Citalopram and Diazepam together?

The increase in dose of the Citalopram may have caused anxiety as a side effect. Diazepam is a benzodiazepine which can be habit forming so shouldn't be taken on a regular basis for more than 2 weeks otherwise you need to see your doctor. It should only be taken for a short period of time for when you need it. I suggest you tell your doctor about your panic attacks returning after the increase of the Citalopram and ask them for a suitable routine of taking your medication. It may be ideal to take your diazepam at night. Your doctor may suggest an alternative medication if things do not improve for you.
