I need some information with hotel bookings?

i am 16 and i'm planing on booking a hotel room in vancouver bc and i was curious can i book a room using my parents credit card with their permission of course and in case they wouldn't believe me they could call my parents and they would approve or do i have to be 18+ Absolutely because if i could it would save an enormous amount of trouble so please help me and thank you all!
