Is there a way to check your clipboard history? and recover previously copied text?

If you do not clear the clipboard it will retain whatever was last copied but the next copy will overwrite what is there and there is no simple way of getting it back. It's similar to deleting a file. The data remains on your hard disk until the O/S decides to use the space to store something else.
