How long should I wait to get my dog tested for Lyme Disease?

This evening, I found 3 tics on my shih-tzu. I was able to successfully remove two, one is still giving us a problem but I will continue to try. I plan on taking him to the vet tomorrow to get checked out, but my question is, if he has Lyme Disease, will it show up as early as tomorrow if they test him? Or does it take longer for the disease to incubate? I will definintely be getting him tested tomorrow, but worried if the results will be accurate or not. I will talk to the vet in the morning, but would love to know the answer now if anyone knows. Thanks!
