Is it okay for me to dress as Terrell Owens for Halloween? ?

I am a huge Cowboys fan as well as a TO fan so I was thinking of dressing as him for Halloween. I am white so I would need to paint my skin black/brown. Is this offensive? Would people take as an offensive gesture (society today can misconstrue anything)? What should I use to paint my skin, any ideas or recommendations?
