Quickfire phone help?

okay so i have the at&t quickfire and the touchscreen doesnt really work that well. its about 7 or 8 months old (i got it for christmas) and i found that the screen works better in a ziplock baggie... :/ has this happened to anybody elses quickfire phone? and what should i do? thanks!
