I have a Robert Shaw furnace. The pilot light is on but burner will not light?

Very carefully check the lighting instructions. Some require the pilot ligh to be on with another on pressed for a set time. Some need the pilot to be a high enough flame to wrap around the safety interlock to the burner. Check that the thermostat is set to HEAT and is set higher than the inside temperature by a few degrees.
