Saga of Darren Shan or the Demonata?

I enjoyed both series from Shan when I read his books back in middle school. I think I prefer Cirque Du Freak as a series better, but as individual novels, Demonata was written more eloquently. I'm pretty psyched to see this movie, I didn't know it was coming out :).
